Starting 14 years ago from one room in an Oxford school, The Art Room has grown into a well known national charity with 11 centres around the UK. From the start – we made The Art Room look like a heavyweight charity. From this – they were able to appeal to funding bodies with confidence and which helped gain the Duchess of Cambridge and Grayson Perry as patrons along with a big group of loyal supporters.
We designed the logo based on the chair, as the children are given physical objects as a start point to work with. It has become the visual linchpin to all of the communications material; – a powerful device that has helped the Art Room become visually distinctive… in fact famous!
